Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how KPhotoFlow ("KPhotoFlow", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the KPhotoFlow Android TV screensaver application.

1. Information we access

When you connect KPhotoFlow to Google Photos, KPhotoFlow may access the data necessary to provide the feature you requested, including information about the albums and media you select for use as your screensaver.

KPhotoFlow does not request or use Google Photos data for purposes unrelated to providing the screensaver experience.

2. How we use Google user data

We use Google user data solely to provide the KPhotoFlow functionality you initiate. In particular, KPhotoFlow requests the selected media through the Google Photos Ambient API and displays it as a randomized screensaver slideshow.

Google Photos media is used exclusively for ambient screensaver playback. KPhotoFlow does not provide an interactive Google Photos gallery or album-browsing grid.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or other unrelated purposes.

3. Storage

KPhotoFlow does not download, synchronize, or permanently store Google Photos media on the device. Media needed for active playback is held in process memory and discarded when playback or preview ends.

Photos from device folders are read only from folders the user explicitly selects. Screensaver folders and lock-screen folders are stored as separate selections.

KPhotoFlow stores only the configuration needed to operate the connection, such as the selected Ambient device and album source identifiers. OAuth credentials are stored in Android's encrypted credential storage.

To enforce the one-time trial period, KPhotoFlow sends a one-way hashed installation identifier and the local trial start time to Supabase. Supabase stores only that hashed identifier, the trial start time, and the trial expiration time. KPhotoFlow does not send photos, Google OAuth tokens, Google Account email addresses, or photo content to Supabase. The entitlement record is retained while it is needed to prevent repeated trials on the same device.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share Google Photos media with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing KPhotoFlow.

KPhotoFlow does not use Google Photos media to serve advertisements.

5. Disconnecting Google Photos

You can disconnect Google Photos from KPhotoFlow through the app. When you disconnect, KPhotoFlow removes the stored connection and album source configuration and clears any in-memory playback media. Local folder selections remain separate and can be removed from their own settings.

6. Google authorization

KPhotoFlow uses Google's OAuth authorization flow so that you can explicitly grant or revoke access. You can also manage or revoke the application's access from your Google Account settings.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by KPhotoFlow. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children's privacy

KPhotoFlow is intended for general use and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for unrelated purposes.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when KPhotoFlow's data practices change or when required by applicable law or platform requirements. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Google API Services User Data Policy: KPhotoFlow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
